Glamour magazine occasionally asks me to do cover stories – an interview and then write-up of an interesting female celebrity. I research meticulously – their childhoods, their careers, their lost loves – but mostly I try to make it fun girl talk. One of my favorites was Olivia Wilde. She’s smart and talented and my first documentary assignment at ABC News was with her mother, the incomparable Leslie Cockburn.
